Training
At Podgorica Karate Club, children discover karate step by step — through movement, learning and friendship. No previous experience is needed. What matters is giving each child the space to try, progress at their own pace and enjoy every new movement.
The first steps involve learning basic movements and the rules of working in a group. Movement exercises help children develop coordination, balance, mobility and body awareness. They then gradually learn karate stances, techniques and kata — connected sequences of movements that require focus, precision and control.
As a child progresses, the tasks become more challenging. The club also works with members preparing to compete on the tatami, but competition is not the only goal of training. Every movement learned, every effort to keep going after a mistake and every act of support for a friend is part of that progress.
Training also develops skills that children take beyond the gym: attentive listening, patience, respect for others, perseverance and confidence. Children stay active, meet their peers and learn to be part of a team. In its public activities, the club emphasises a supportive environment where children’s smiles and friendships matter just as much as sporting results.
Through events and educational activities, the club connects sport with themes such as healthy habits, togetherness and care for the environment.
Training is for children and beginners. Get in touch so we can choose a group together that suits your child’s age and experience.

The schedule is based on the club’s published announcement. Before your first visit, confirm the current training time with a coach.
Podgorica Karate Club also brings children together at public sporting events, where they can show what they have learned and share the joy of movement with friends and family. These experiences give children the chance to build confidence and feel part of a team.
If your child would like to try karate, get in touch. We will help you find a suitable group and location, confirm the current training time and explain what is needed for the first visit.
